The two people that rented my house are shit heads. I will post some old emails from one of the jackasses later. I have been spending the little free time I have in cleaning. A couple friends are in there fixing up some wear and tear. Not once did they clean, even after I told them too. And they got pissy when I decided to not renew their lease. Oh yeah, Thanks guys, I had a successful day in court, because you assholes didn't bother to mow the lawn. I hope I avoided $600 in fines & fees.

I don't understand how adults feel justified to be so irresponsible and disrespectful and yet blame some one else? Grow the fuck up and don't let me see you ever again, cause at this point, I am full of hate (eh, nuthin new)

I just needed to vent- I hate those mother fuckers (They have been a sore for me since late July). And anyone else who is so quick to blame or judge others without owning their end. Fuck you!!!

On the bright side, Jim will be in town this weekend. While I am working, he is going to be painting a room for me. of course, I am excited to see him too.

It look like this work addict will be working more, I now have sound shifts on a few Saturdays at DC9 and a couple more nights at Red and Black. I am finding that I have found something I am really digging. That has been a long time. True tail sign, I am reading.

There is so much technicalities to learn and even more the science of it. There is a big learning curve here. I am at a good start and some great engineers to learn from.

Although I have no intention to quit my day job, I am having a great time! The part I have to keep in check is that I don't consume myself with it and miss out on life around me. My goal is remember to stop and hear the roses.

I started my "apprenticeship" at the Rock and Roll Hotel. My first night was last week and I learned tons. There is soooo much to understand and learn. I figure within 6 months I will have the basics down.
I got to mic the entire drum kit for the first time.

And now I may be picking up extra shifts covering DJ nights @ dc9. I think maybe an occasional live band show. What that says is the main sound engineer thinks I am ready. super complimentary-I am the only one in our group who isn't in school for this.

Here I go, diving into a profession I never thought I would. Not quitting the day job - for now its a nice balance to trying to save the world.

So I am sitting here at Argonaut "djing" - well letting the play list on the laptop roll - cuz its just me and the bartendar. After a long day at H St. Fest I am okay with just hitting play. We are ok with going home early

H St fest was awesome and look forward to it next year!!! Crossbones I didn't get a chance to say hi - I was in the midst of setting up Dj's - hope you had fun

Apparently, the band the other night really really complained about me. To the point that I could of lost my job. My manager and two well respected sound engineers (@ respective venues)stood up for me. Its a great feeling to know that they have my back because they genuinely believe I am worth it.

And the booker went back to the band and told them if they ever treat a staff person so poorly ever again, they will not be booked at Red and Black, DC9 or the Hotel. Needless to say, Vox Pop sent a long apology email to him.

I give her a very perplexed look, "I don't bellydance"

She looks confused. "Oh, I get you and Mavi mixed up"

I haven't been on LJ much and have been in my own world lately so just droppin in and saying was up?

I just had to come down on a final decision with my tenant. I think its the right decision. I know he is pissed off. I do have to learn that sometimes it is ok to say no & to disappoint rather than resent my decision on being accomodating.


Oh well he will get over it or he will move out.

Here are details:
Located at the cross section of Maryland Ave & H St NE, the Argonaut is a a fantastic hang out for many of the area locals. The Dj floor is a cozy space with a small dance floor. It will hold up to 85 people. The sound system is certainly fit for the space. In addition their is a good food & drink specials.

We are excited about having a wide genres of Djs to meet the diverseness of the customers, neighborhood and draw in a new crowd. I am looking for Djs who are reliable, professional and will promote themselves. The venue will also be reciprocating that. The pay is a flat rate and a may be a bonus of the bar ( bring your drinking friends). At this time minimal equipment will be provided.
